Keep Your Light Shining Brightly

By In 2014 Blog On February 27, 2014

Jesus told us we are the light of the world and that we should let our lights shine before men so that they would see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.  I often think of our lights as like a bright flashlight or the glowing campfire at night at the campsite.  One time my kids and I were camping and shared with them about our lights shining brightly.  Telling them by my observation, that sometimes we put things on the fire that put it our (pouring cans of soft drinks on the fire) and sometimes, most of the times we should put dry wood and things help keep the fire going.  The point I made with them and now with you are there are certainly things we can put in our lives that can dim our lights or even make them seem to go out and then there are other things that can help make it even brighter.  Our hope for you who are reading this blog is that your light will shine brightly and that the encouragement you get here will be like a piece of dry wood on your campfire!

Thanks for reading and may you be encouraged to keep you light shining brightly!
